Announcements 

Called Congregational Meeting

The Session has voted to hold a Called Meeting of the Congregation following Worship on, September 8, to hear the recommendation of the Pastor Nominating Committee on Calling a Pastor.


Rally Day/Potluck

Rally Day of the new Christian Education year kicks off on September 8! Join us in the Fellowship Hall after Worship for a Potluck lunch. Committee Chairs of the Session will be in attendance to tell you about the work of their committees and to take signups for the committee work.


Bible Study

Pastor Olive will be holding a Bible study on Wednesday, September 11 @ 5:30 in the library. All are invited to attend.


Choir Accompanist Needed

Job Requirements

1. Experience in church worship music.
2. High degree of competence on the piano.
3. Ability to sight-read voice parts written in hymn style.
4. Ability to improvise an accompaniment to a hymn is a plus.
5. Must pass the requisite background and drug test.

Responsibilities

1. Provide accompaniment for the Chancel Choir during Wednesday evening
rehearsals.
2. Play accompaniment for Choir anthems during Sunday morning worship.
3. Rehearse sufficiently to play accompaniments effectively during both Choir
rehearsal and worship.
4. Take direction and work as a team member.
5. Provide accompaniments for soloists and small ensembles if needed.
6. Accompany the Choir at the Ash Wednesday or Maundy Thursday service.
7. Serve as substitute in the absence of the Organist/Choir Director. All music may
be played on the piano.
8. Communicate well and in a friendly manner with the church leadership and
members of the congregation.
